Thanksgiving Facility Closures
-The Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center at UCSB will be closed during the Thanksgiving weekend from Friday, November 24 through Sunday, November 26. Businesses can schedule an appointment for the following Friday, December 1, and residents can drop off waste the following weekend, on Saturday, December 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, December 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The South Coast Recycling and Transfer Station and Santa Ynez Valley Recycling and Transfer Station will also be closed on the Thanksgiving holiday, November 23.
The Resource Recovery and Waste Management Division Downtown office will be closed Thursday, November 23 through Sunday, November 26. Our office and phone lines will reopen on Monday, November 27.
Please remember that it is unlawful to leave waste in front of facilities or at any other unattended location. This is considered illegal dumping and against the law.
