Permits Are Required for Soil, Asbestos, Old Pesticide Containers & Leachable Material Disposal
Due to safety concerns, disposing of some material requires a permit. If you are taking any of the products listed below to the Tajiguas Landfill, you must fill out the respective permit. Please select the permit links below for additional instructions. As always, we are here to help. Please call (805) 882-3600 or email RRWMPermits@countyofsb.org for further assistance.
If you have one of the following categories of waste a permit is required for disposal.
Questions regarding permits should be sent to RRWMPermits@countyofsb.org.
Empty Pesticide Containers
Pesticide containers must be triple rinsed and dried prior to disposal. These items require the same permit that is used for asbestos.
Permit for Empty Pesticide Containers
Asbestos
Asbestos must be double bagged in 6 millimeter thick bags. These bags cannot be ripped or damaged in any way. Asbestos is a dangerous substance and should be handled with extreme caution. Check out our other articles for additional information on the two types of asbestos. Permits are required for disposing of any type of asbestos.
