The Green Gardener Program for Santa Barbara County educates local gardeners in resource efficient and pollution prevention landscape maintenance practices. Basic and Advanced classes are offered in English and Spanish (vocational English language support is included) and are free through SBCC’s School of Extended Learning. Upon completion of the course, students receive a Green Gardener certification card and can choose to have their name appear on the Green Gardener website and list distributed to the public. Computers and internet access are available for students if needed.

Basic English and Spanish classes:

• In-person Class: Mondays, January 23rd - May 20th at 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
• Virtual Class: Wednesdays, January 25th - May 20th  at 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Advanced Class:

• Tuesdays and Thursdays, January 23^rd – May 20th, 5 pm -7:30 pm

Where: In-person at SBCC Wake Center, Room 28, Santa Barbara or online via Zoom video conferencing, register in advance through SBCC’s School of Extended Learning.
