Santa Ynez “ABOP” Collection Reopening May 30th!

By May 21, 2020

The Saturday “ABOP” collection program at the Santa Ynez Valley Recycling and Transfer Station will reopen on Saturday, May 30. The "ABOP" program accepts antifreeze, batteries, motor oil, and paint. This service is available to community members every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Help us keep our staff and customers safe by following the guidelines below:

  • All visitors must wear a face-mask and stay in their vehicles unless requested otherwise by staff.
  • Please place all materials in the vehicle’s trunk or truck bed so staff can safely gather the materials without entering the vehicle. Also, make sure all items are clearly identified for disposal and positioned so they are easily accessible.
  • We can only accept 15 gallons worth of volume, per customer, per Saturday. For example, we can only accept three five-gallon buckets, even if they are only half full.
