Recycling

LessIsMore.org works best in modern browsers like Firefox, Safari, Chrome, or Internet Explorer 8. All are free to download and will greatly improve your internet experience. This section has everything you need to know about recycling at your home, business, apartment or school. If you're not sure how to recycle a particular item, find it in the list below or use our search bar at the top of the page.

Mixed paper of different colors and types can be placed into your recycling container. This includes glossy and non-glossy paper, construction paper, envelopes from junk mail...You get the idea. This does NOT include laminated paper, which is an example of paper trash.

Check out the Paper page for more information.

What about the windows in my junk mail envelopes?

Good news, those are recyclable too! That's because recyclers expect some windows in the mix, and many of them are made of cellulose which is recyclable with paper.

Can I stop junk mail?

There are several services, both free and fee-based, to reduce the amount of junk mail you receive. Check out our Stop Junk Mail page for details.
