City of Santa Maria Household Hazardous Waste Facility

Accepts a variety of hazardous waste from households and businesses that qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG). Acceptable items include non-empty aerosol cans, antifreeze, automotive fluids, household and vehicular batteries, cleaning products, fluorescent lights, oil-based and latex paint, mercury containing devices, motor oil, oil filters, photo chemicals, pool supplies, solvents, adhesives, sharps, propane tanks, smoke detectors, and printer cartridges.
Businesses in the Santa Maria Valley that qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) may also dispose of hazardous waste at this facility on Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. by appointment only. Facility is open for households on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. but is closed on major holidays.
Waste Limits:
