Directions to the ReSource Center
This new state-of-the-art waste management facility will increase our community's recycling rate to above 85%, generate resources, such as green energy and compost, and dramatically lower local greenhouse gas emissions.
The ReSource Center is located in off of Highway 101 in a rural area, so Google Maps or other GPS navigation systems don't work as well there. The best way to find the ReSource Center is to paste these coordinates into your device: 34.473291, -120.129093.
If you are using Google Maps, you can click this link for directions from wherever you are.
Here are written directions when coming up from the south coast of Santa Barbara County:
The ReSource Center is 26 miles from the Santa Barbara City center on the Gaviota Coast. Coming from Santa Barbara, get on the 101 North. Once you get to Refugio State Beach, you have 4 miles to go. You will see a deceleration lane to the right and a lone palm tree where you will exit. There is no exit sign. Drive forward and pull off to the right side area before the entrance gate to meet your group and tour guide. If you arrive to the entrance more than 10 minutes late you will not be able to join the group tour. We must enter together and the guide must account for all visitors.
Here are written directions when coming from north county:
Once you arrive at the coast and drive for a few minutes you will see the Mariposa Reina Exit, continue driving for 4 miles, look for "Vista Point" signs on your right hand side and then enter a deceleration lane on your left hand side. There is no exit sign. You will carefully cross over the 101 northbound side of the freeway. Drive forward and pull off to the right side area before the entrance gate to meet your group and tour guide. If you arrive to the entrance more than 10 minutes late you will not be able to join the group tour. We must enter together and the guide must account for all visitors.
