Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center to Be Closed during Thanksgiving Weekend

The Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center (Center), located on Mesa Road on the campus of UCSB, will be closed during the Thanksgiving weekend, from Friday, November 29th through Sunday, December 1st. Be aware that it is unlawful to leave hazardous waste at the gate or any other unattended location.
The Center will resume normal operating hours for the acceptance of hazardous waste from businesses by appointment only on Friday, December 6th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To make an appointment, please call (805) 882-3602. Normal operating hours for the acceptance of hazardous waste from households will also resume beginning on Saturday, December 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, December 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. If you have any questions, please call (805) 882-3602.
