Holiday Facility Closures
-Remember that Resource Recovery and Waste Management Division's waste facilities will be closed intermittently through the holiday season.
The South Coast Recycling and Transfer Station will be closed on December 26 and January 2. The New Cuyama Transfer Station will be closed on December 25 and 26, and January 1 and 2.
The Santa Ynez Valley Recycling and Transfer Station and Ventucopa Transfer Station do not operate on Sundays or Mondays and therefore both locations will not be affected by any holiday closures this year.
For those planning to drop off waste at the Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center, please note that the Center will be closed to residents and businesses for the Christmas and New Year's holidays, from Friday, December 23 through Sunday, January 1.
The Center will reopen for businesses (by appointment only) on Friday, January 6, and for residents (no appointment required) on Saturday, January 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and on Sunday, January 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
If you have any questions, please send us an e-mail or call 805-882-3600.
It is unlawful to leave any waste at the gates of our facilities.
Wishing everyone a happy and healthy end to 2022 and start to 2023!
