County Recycles 75% of Community’s Waste

The County and the City of Goleta are excited to announce that they have achieved the equivalent to a 75% recycling rate for 2012. The state agency CalRecycle officially approved the County’s figures this week.

Cleanup Event Attracts Nearly 1,000 Volunteers

The largest volunteer cleanup in Santa Barbara County had another huge year. With 100% of the 25 participating sites reporting, 952 volunteers collected more than 1,900 pounds of trash and 645 pounds of recyclables.
