IV Move-Out 2017

Hazardous Waste Center Closed Easter Sunday

The Community Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed this Sunday, April 16 in observance of the Easter holiday. The Center will resume operations on Friday, April 21 for businesses (appointment required) and Saturday, April 22 for households (no appointment needed).


Hazardous Waste Collection Event April 2 in Santa Ynez


On Sunday, April 2, the County Public Works Department will host a free Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collection Event at the Santa Ynez Valley Recycling and Transfer Station. Stop by any time between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. with items like old paint, automotive fluids, pesticides, TVs, computer equipment, and much more.

Free Hazardous Waste Events This Weekend


If you’re tired of seeing those old paint cans in the garage or that old jug of used motor oil in the back shed, bring them to an upcoming household hazardous waste collection event. The County is holding two events this weekend – on Saturday, October 1 in New Cuyama and on Sunday, October 2 in the Santa Ynez Valley.
