Want to be involved in waste issues? Check out Coastal Cleanup Day September 25th from 9-Noon! It's not composting, but it's good for you and the environment.
Always wanted to compost but never knew exactly how it worked? Wish you could compost but think your home doesn't have space for it? Ever hear about worm composting and wondered how you could do that?
The County of Santa Barbara is offers free composting workshops in the spring to answer these questions and more! Whether you are looking to keep food scraps out of the landfill, find out more about your current composting operation or have never heard of composting but are interested, these workshops are for you!
If the workshop in your area is over for the time being, there will be more offered next spring. If you have a group of seven or more people interested in a composting workshop, private workshops can also be done. If you are interested attending the next workshop, send an email with the subject "Composting Workshop" to jsimeon@cosbpw.net. Please include your name and address.
